Tammi Gaw is the Founder and Executive Director of Advantage Rule, a consulting group focused on athlete health and safety, with an emphasis on amateur athletes' rights. She is also Of Counsel with Daniel Ebeling Maccia & Cohen, a boutique law firm focused on sports, business and tech. As one of only a handful of professionals licensed as both an attorney and an athletic trainer, Tammi's expertise extends to the business of sports, including management, image rights, gender and pay equity, and medical welfare for athletes of all levels. Her career has included in-house counsel positions, non- profit management and board participation, and C-suite level work with integrated planning for large scale sporting events.

Tammi is an international speaker and lecturer on issues around sports business, law, medicine, and social justice, and has been featured in a variety of news outlets, podcasts, panels, and publications. Tammi authored a course which covers legal aspects of sports medicine that is used by Athletic Training professors, and she co-hosted two seasons of the Business ATvantage podcast to educate athletic trainers about the legal aspects of their careers.

Tammi earned her Bachelors degree in Sports Sciences from the University of Oklahoma, her Masters degree in Sports Management/Education from California Baptist University, and her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. She is board certified in sports medicine and qualified as a lawyer in the United States, and is a member of several professional organizations including Women in Sports Law, Law in Sport, Sports Lawyers Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel, and the National Athletic Trainers Association.Tammi is the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of The Drake Group Education Fund, a not-for-profit devoted to integrity and reform in US college sports, and a Specialist Member of the National Anti-Doping Panel at Sport Resolutions UK.
