Alonzo Craighton
In 2021, while at the University of North Alabama, Alonzo started all eleven games in the secondary and finished third overall on his team with 52 tackles. Also in 2021 he finished the season with two INT, three PBUs, and one 1FF. In the 2020 season with North Alabama, he finished fifth on the team in tackles with 19, including 11 solos and eight assists. Before his time at North Alabama, Alonzo was at Nicholls State University and the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. In 2019, while at Nicholls State, he played in 12 games with one start. There he saw time in the defensive backfield and on special teams with 21 total tackles, including 15 solo stops. While at Minnesota over two seasons Alonzo saw action in 10 games.
Alonzo is the son of Alonzo and Loretta Craighton and has three sisters. As a young child, Alonzo’s grandmother imparted on to him a love of plants. This led him to focus in college on landscape architecture in his Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Nichols State. Alonzo is currently trying to break into professional football and hopes to one day open his own landscape architecture and design firm.
